Project Description: This new 9-story, 1,000,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art Children's Hospital is located in Pittsburgh, PA and was designed as one of the first fully digital hospitals in the coutnry. The design of the exterior facades included input from physicians, nurses, and families to meet the unique requirements of the pediatric healthcare providers and patients in the region. D-M Products, Inc. installed approx. 70,000 square feet of glass in curtainwall and storefront systems, incorporating several different vibrant colors and curved shapes. The project also included sunshades, louvers, floor to ceiling all-glass walls, decorative art glass feature walls, mirrors, metal panels, Unicel blinded windows, aluminum entrances, and ICU doors. DMP also installed curtainwall on the new 10-story, 230,000 SF John G. Rangos Sr. Research facility adjacent to the Children's Hospital.
